Klaar's trading advantage over everyone else is that it is a port city. This is its port, a place where a lucky traveler may be able to find a ride off of the continent... And possibly into danger.

Blake walked into the port with Chris (hopefully) by his side.
"Alright," he said, let's find a ship.

Chris sighed. He had thought they were close to Klaar, but until they had actually moved into the city perimeter, he had just hoped it would be a bad feeling.

"That's a very wise idea... I think, unless you've got money, that we're going to have to borrow one, though."

"I have money but not enough." Blake shrugged. "We can return it later."

Chris nodded, and thought for a minute.

He drew his pistol, pointing for a dock.

"Okay, this might be hard, so don't get yourself hurt. We're going to move on my sign. Can you do that?"

"Let's do it." said Blake, ready for the signal.

Chris raised two fingers, and flicked his wrist. He ran to the dock, pistol in hand, and looked around for anyone there.

There were two ships unloading cargo.

"Left or right?"

Blake followed closely beihnd. Drawing his dagger without realizing it. There was something addicting about it....
"Left."

Chris nodded, moving against the right side of the dock towards the right ship, and turning toward one of two guards that was on the left side.

"Excuse me, sir, I need some help moving a box onto the other ship, would you mind? I can't do it alone."

The guard regarded him, annoyed. "What's in it for me?"

Gunlock held up a gold coin. "More where this came from?"

The guard nodded. He supposed he could take a little time off, he wouldn't be leaving the dock anyhow.

"Alright, where's the ship?"

Leaning against a post somewhere close stood a slender tall, black haired man. He wore a long coat with a dark blue turtle neck and black slacks. He also wore shoes that had steal toes and he looked about, looking to the water mostly because he really did enjoy the view. Standing there he was eating a piece of cake and it would almost seem like he was day dreaming. .

Chris led the man toward the other ship, and around a corner in a set of boxes, putting a gun to his head.

"Alright, I need on that ship."

The man chuckled, and then looked at the ship he was guarding.

"Well, that's fine with me, it's not worth my life to keep this job. But you want to be careful." He grinned, and walked away slowly, raising his hands in the air and sat about ten feet from Chris.

Walking closer to Chris Blake was slightly nervous.
"What do you think he means by that?"

The man who was eating the cake eyed everyone around with beaming
curiosity. Why was that man over there holding up his hands, and walking
in front of someone to boot. The cake eating man chuckled slightly, for
he saw many people like this before though it didn't surprise him. These people may not understand that they were still in Klaar, a place of havoc and mischief and mayhem. Either way, this man, delightfully filling himself with cake was enjoying such strange moments of these strangers, one of them not so strange.

Chris shook his head.

"I don't know, but I definitely don't like it. He strikes me as odd. Should we take him with us?"

He looked at Blake curiously.

Blake thought about it momentarily. "I don't know. MAybe, extra help could always be good and we can get more information out of him. I know you're good at that." Blake said with a smirk, poking fun. "You're way more used to this kind of thing than I am."

Chris chuckled.

"Well, I don't know. In any given operation, taking more people on is definitely more hazardous... I mean, it was fairly easy to hold him up... Could be a trap, you know?"

He thought about it.

"On the other hand, he knows more about this ship than either of us do, still... And he might be willing to be paid off, though I'm broke personally."

He shook his head.

"In the end, you know about as much in this situation as I do. In the end, it's a gamble either way, so I'll leave it up to you."

Blake smirked. "A gamble, huh?" chuckling Blake said, "well, I can't just pass this up. I have some money." Blake reached into his bag and tossed what money he had to Chris. "Think this will do?"

The dark haired man finished his cake and strolled to the side of the ship where nobody could see him, and there he may have been invisible. Well, maybe he was and maybe he wasn't.

Chris nodded.

"I guess it's gonna have to do..."

He looked over to the man.

"You're coming with us..."

The man looked up.

"I'm sorry?"

"I don't trust you. Get over here."

The man sighed.

"Y'know, all I was tryin' to do was stay out of it, and here you go, pulling me back in... This is probably a very bad idea..."

"You keep saying that. Why?" Chris waved the gun.

The man shrugged. "Guess we'll find out..."

Chris tossed the bag of gold to the man, who smiled.

"What's your name, anyways?"

"Me? I'm Cayn Stormheart. I work for Vailiencette's. Ever heard of us?"

"That goddamn mercenary group, really? I should have known..."

Chris stepped onto the ship.

"So what the hell is on this ship?"

"Honestly, I have no idea. The guy that hired me was one crazy fuck, though..."

Cayn shrugged, pulling himself up onto the ship as well.

The most interesting thing about the ship was its interior. There didn't seem to be almost any room for a crew, like a standard ship, and steam billowed out from the walls.

"This is a warship..." Chris looked over at Cayn. "The hell is going on here?"

"No idea, man... Whatever it is, though, it should be interesting... Glad I brought my sword..." Cayn just grinned.

Blake looked around the ship. He had never seen anything like it in person but he's read about it.

"What does this mean? What's happening in the world?" Blake whispered to himself.

Blake walked over to Cayn, "So, who exactly hired you?"

Cayn shrugged.

"Didn't get a name, but usually never do."

The door locked behind them, and Chris swore.

"Let's see... He was on the taller side, spindly, and carried a huge-ass sword... Looked kinda like..."

He turned the corner, searching for the words, and his eyes widened.

"Uh... That guy."

Before them stood his description of a man, wielding a Zanbatou, or horse-killer, in his right hand. It was nearly the size of the hallway, but the man didn't seem slightly incapacitated by it.

"Vailiencette's... Trustworthy until you pay 'em..."

Cayn groaned. "Hey dude, don't diss us like that! Though, I guess it is true..."

Chris looked on in awe.

"No fucking way..."

The man looked at him.

"Ah, Gunlock! You showed up for the party!"

Blake's eyes widened at the size of the weapon.

"Holy shit..." he whispered. He looked at the man and prepared himself for a fight. Something tells me we don't wanna be hear for the party...

Blake couldn't help but smirk as the adrenaline started to flood his system, but he held it back slightly confused. His hand automatically moving to rest on top of his knife.
