7524: Machine Town.

Precinct 7524 is a quaint little town full of people who make their living off of building new robots and other such machines to guard against the cruelty of Carcen. Nothing really bad happens here, besides the occasional riot. However, everyone that riots usually gets killed. Can't let bad feelings compromise the happiness.

Gex was coming up now from an elevator inside Rupert Murdoch's shop. His hair a mess and his labcoat over his pajamas and he saw Rupert working on some small robot and the robot looked over to Gex, instinctively it almost seemed and waved to him. Rupert looking down at the robot, curiously.
(Rupert Murdoch was an older man with a thick white beard and mustach, and very stocky)
"Oh good morning Gex! How was your sleep?!"
The older man said enthusiastically

Gex just mumbled and jumped on a wheel chair, which was just a stool with a large wheel on the bottom that resembled a car wheel that drove around the shop to a kitchen area as he took a plate of left overs and shoved it into a microwave. As Gex rolled around in the small shop he bumped into some of the walls as things began to fall, though little robots all among the shop scurried to pick up after Gex's recklessness.

"Working on a new project of course. The robot that could understand any language and pick up on human mannerisms was the plan, but it kept mimicking me being upset and throwing a tantrum and so most of my almost finished projects were almost completely smashed so I shut him down."
He grumbled again, swearing under his breath.
The micrwave beeped and he rolled to it and took out the food, grabbed a fork and began to eat and then spoke with his mouthful.
"I mea dam! Wha th he is wron wit robo so'time?!"

Finally entering the center of the city Kal paused for a moment and sighed in releif. She would be able to leave soon enough. All the robots and machines made her uncomftorable since there was no real way she could fight them. If she had her way she wouldn't be here . . . but there was something she needed here. And only a certain person would have it.
She walked down the street and the slight breeze blew the bottom of her cloak back gently and her bangs swayed against her forhead. After a few minutes she stopped and smiled.
Finally she thought, here it is.
She walked to the store and opened the door with her free hand. She entered Rupurt Murdoch and Gex Rezilience's store.

As the customer walked in Gex was still bickering about the attitude of his robots and how messy and clumsy they are. In the middle of almost throwing a tantrum, he looked over to the customer with still food in his mouth and waved his little hand and Rupert was chasing around some small robot around the shop and Gex waved to the customer and called out to her.

"Her'o!"

He swore a little to himself, realizing what he had just done and he wiped his face and cleared his throat and muttering could be heard if they listened closely enough. His chair rolled up to the woman and he held out his hand to shake hers.

"Hiya, Gex Rezilience is the name, how can I help ya?"

His large purple eyes looked up at her, and he was grinning widely because they rarely ever get any customers and he's always keen on playing and fixing some new machine.

Taking his hand Kal shook it quickley.
"Hello. My name is Kal. I require some assistance of you if you wouldn't mind. I beleive you have a few special, projects you are working on?"
Looking around the store Kal couldn't help but smile at her surroundings.

"Yes ma'am. I always am. Most of my projects give me an attitude, so sorry for the mess. Robots aren't usually good house keepers. What exactly are ya looking for? Also, how much do you got for it? My stuff is the best out of all 7524! Don't let anyone tell ya otherwise!"

Gex was always very very proud of his work, and it was true, he was the absolute best at his job and even the best of engineers in the precinct would go to him for help.

Rory had landed with a hard thud after dropping out of a wormhole. "OOOOOF!" There was a few popping sounds as he slowly made his way to his feet."That's not a good sound..." He realised his shoulder was popped out of place. Rory had laid prone and rolled onto his left side then slammed hards towards his right. A few pops and some crunching sounds in after a second his shoulder was back in place."Well, that was a bit painful." Rory then pulled himself to his feet again and begin checking his person."Gloves, check, sword, check, heart beat, check. Well I'm still alive, but have no idea where I am." Rory had called upon his Marine training and found cover in a bush. His first thought was to find Lukas."Well, apparently the experiment failed. Hmmm... wonder where Lukas is." Rory had slowly moved from cover and started to look around for Lukas. He had noticed some lights in the distance and decided to go check it out. As he got closer he realized it was a town."I hope Lukas is there." Rory continued trekking towards the town with only one thought through his head. He needed to find Lukas.

Rory had come up to the edge of town and looked around."Hmmm... seems harmless enough, then again, that's usually what the first guy to die in a horror movie says. Ah well." Rory slowly made his way into town. "Well theres no shortage of tech here at least. Maybe I can try to build another machine to get back home. But first things first. I need to find Lukas. Hopefully he is here." As Rory made his way through town he decided he should at least find someone to ask if they had seen Lukas, but Rory was terrible with describing people. But since this was a small town maybe someone had seen him. The first place he decided to try was a shop."Hope there is someone in here who can help me." Upon entering the shop Rory noticed there was two people talking so he decided to wait until they were done so he started looking around the shop."Hmmm, nifty." If either of the two had noticed Rory enter they would see he has short length black hair and a goatee. He wore a long black duster, a pair of jeans, black boots, a black t-shirt and his black gloves. However sticking out from underneath his duster would be the hilt of his sword. Like all men of science Rory was a bit eccentric, and also being a marine his dress style sort of reflected that.

the door opened and a small gust of wind blew the ripped and bloodstained bottome of her cloak. Looking up she saw a man walk in.Kal tightened her grip on her staff. He was obviously prepared to fight as she could see the hilt of a sword. Preparing herself if need be she continued talking to the purple eyes man in front of her.
"Well, I need something that can find people. A specific person. I do not know what they look like, but I know what they have done and how they did it. Since everyone does this differently it would bespecific to one person or a close group of people. Have anything that can hepl me?" She said with a smirk and a glint in her red eyes.

Rory looked at at the woman as she tightened the grip on her staff. He took a moment and thought about why she'd do that then realized he was dressed like he was ready to fight. He chuckled nervously to himself and shrugged having a thought. I guess I do look a bit intimidating. He approached both her and the man she was talking to."Sorry miss but I over heard you say you were looking for someone. I am too. A friend of mine. We wound up here in an experiment gone wrong. Perhaps if I help you look for the person yer after you could help me look for my friend. And I really have no idea where I am and someone who knows this place would be nice to travel with and, I'm all about making new friends." Rory had a certain soft charismatic tone to his voice that tremendously offset the way he looked.

Turning to face the new man She looked at him puzzled for a moment as his way of speaking did not match his exterior. Chuckling she smiled and held out a hand.
"Kal. Pleasure to meet you. An extra hand is always good to have and you look capable. If you are willing to help me then I shall return the favour. Where are you from?" She looked at him questioningly.

Rory smiled and took her hand in his right one and placed a gentle kiss on the back of it and then gently let it go. If she wasn't taken aback by his chivalrous behavior she'd have felt and saw his hands were gloved. "A pleasure, Kai. My name is Rory. And I'm from..." Rory thought quickly to himself for a moment. Hmm quick decision can't say Manhattan, dunnow if I am even on Earth anymore. "Oh, I'm from all over. I'm just a traveler. Jack-of-all-trades master-of-none. And yer right an extra hand is always handy." Rory may have looked like he was ready to kill at a moments notice which isn't far from the truth, he was just more of a hopeless romantic. And that was heavily reflected in his mannerisms, body language and speech. It's just from time to time he comes on a little strong.

Raising her eyebrow at the kiss on her hand she let it slide.
"I see. I am a traveler of sorts as well." She could tell he was hiding something but it was not her business in the first place. If he wanted he could tell her later. "So, what exactly is it that you do? I need to know what I can have you do. Obviously you can fight." She said gesturing to his sword.

Rory smiled and laughed."Yes I am quite good at that. I followed in my fathers footsteps and took on a warriors life. Sword play, hand to hand combat. I'm also quite a good scout. I'm also a man of science. Both of my parent's were intelligent and that continued to me. I'm a quite good engineer and I love to tinker with new things. I like to see what I can make. Things to help people, things to improve ones own natural abilities, all kinds of stuff. And yerself?"

"Very impressive. You will be of good use to me. And I am skilled in hand to hand combat and staff fighting. Though I prefer to use my illusions on my enemy. It's much more satisfying to watch one fight their own mind." Kal looked down and chuckled to herself as she remembered the poor thief that had tried to rob her just a few days ago.

Rory smiled and laughed a bit."That does sound rather entertaining actually. I've already created somethings to enhance my own natural abilities that were placed inside of my body. Let's just say that when I am "on" time seems to stop altogether around me. It's quite funny when people start yelling. Where did he go?! and then you start taking them out one by one. So, Kai. Why are you looking for this person? A friend of yers? Or did they wrong you in some way?"

Kal's eyes darkened at the mention of the person she is looking for. "This person is no friend of mine. He attacked my home and killed the children in it and the nuns. He also killed my master. My thoughts are that it's a group. The marks left on the bodys were very specific so I know it's a least a tight nite group of some kind. Or one extremely skilled man or woman. I've never seen them personally but, the style used was so unique. Much like your own skill. My thoughts are focused on the Bloodhounds right now."

Rory quirked a brow and his demeanor shifted when he heard of the slaughter. His soft blue eyes shifted color to practically pitch black. And when he spoke his voice was cold, dark, as if he just stepped out of a surrealistic nightmare."Anyone man, woman, or group that would slaughter innocents should be made to suffer as much as they had made their victims suffer then their pitiful existence ended slowly. You've said enough. You have my sword and my skill at you're disposal."

Taken aback by his sudden change Kal just looked at him but then smiled softly. Looking at him with soft eyes she said, "Thank you Rory. You too have my staff and skills to help find your friend. Hopefully he is in a safe place."
Kal looked at Rory appreciatively and with new respect. She had thought he was just like any traveler but there was deffienetly something different about him. She wanted to know the truth but would not press him. Not yet anyway.

Gex became mixed in his thoughts, the new man and this woman Kal were in quite deep in conversation, as he was trying to figure out if he had a some sort of device to find people. He scratched his head and closed his eyes mumbling to himself.

"Well let's see now. If you're certain he's here on Dilusion that I really don't know what to tell ya lady. Carcen is icky when it comes to people who drift to far. Though I did hear you saying that he is a bad guy sooooo."

He scratched his head more furiously now, he couldn't think of anything to help find a PERSON. He was an engineer and programmer, so if she asked for a device to find a robot or machine, this would be a piece of cake but didn't want to let the lady down so he nodded to himself and sighed.

"I don't have anything right now that could do something like that. BUT, if you come back in a few days I'll try to fix somethin' up for ya."

He then grinned and then looked over to this other person that the woman was talking too.

"Hey man, anything I can help ya with?"

Rory eyes shifted right back to a soft blue and he had a nervous look on his face. He had completely forgot about the other guy in the room. he smiled and nodded at Kal then turned to Gex. "OH yeah, have you seen a kid around here by the name of Lukas? He's a friend of mine, and my assistant. Not that hard to miss he'd be walking around with two swords. and seem generally out of place. Just the kind of kid he is. No matter how much he tries to fit in, he's just slightly off. If ya haven't seen him it's alright."

"Thank you very much. I will come back in a few days." Kal said gratefully to Gex.
While Rory asked Gex about his friend Lukas Kal turned to look out the window. She would have to spend a few more days here. At least it's just a few days though. She thought. This boy must be very smart.
"I'll get you soon." Kal whispered to herself giving her bangs a small swipe.

Turning to Rory Kal says "Well, looks like we have some time to kill."

"Awesome. When you come back, try to figure out my payment. Me and Rupert don't run this shop for free, ya know?"
He grinned and closed his eyes, a little embarassed to bring up the idea of money but it was true. He had to buy for materials to make more things, just because he was constantly creating something or another.

"Now, looking for a person named Lukas..."
he repeated the name a few times thinking about the given appearance of the person. He then shook his head and shrugged

"Yeah man, I can't recall anybody who looks like that.You two must definitely by outsiders huh? None of you came in here looking for a machine and questions about where someone is."

He laughed, and it was filled with a sense of concern and he took a deep breath.

"Ha ha haaaa, yeah. Carcen is shitty to say the least, excuse my Carcenien, so let's hope they didn't get kidnapped or anything. You might want to check Klaar. There's loads of people there, and always dirty rumors going on about this or that. If you do go down there though, be careful because everyone there might double cross you. Ya know? Oh and by the way, if you guys need somewhere to sleep, we have three bedrooms upstairs you can stay in. Traveling at night to Klaar is really unwise."

He grinned and had his hands on his lap as he rocked back and forth on his wheel-stool. He waited for a response from the two new comers. He didn't mind the company after all. Maybe they would have more information on technology from their homes.That would be exciting! He thought.

Rory sighed and just shrugged."Alright it was worth a shot at asking. Thanks." He turned to Kal and nodded."Yeah, it does look like we have some time to kill. And I really don't know anything about this place so yer in charge." Rory turned back to Gex after hearing his offer to spend the night."Well that's up to her." He turned back to Kal."So what do you want to do? Considering we're going to be traveling together. Besides if we stay here give us time to talk. Get to know each other a little better. I won't be as much of a mysterious stranger to you and vice verse." Rory just chuckled some and smiled softly.
