The name is accurate, as far as anyone's concerned. There probably IS treasure up here, but the terrain is completely impassable! down by the base of the mountain, sandstorms cover the entire area, and up at the top, snowdrifts so deep they could swallow a man whole. The only solace is the network of caves leading through it from the Mountain Path, but it's said that Harpies have inhabited these, so they've been closed off from public use. A rugged, brash traveler may come here and reap some intense rewards... If they can survive the experience...

A blackish red doorway opened at the entrance to one of the caves and Seraph came through. He landed with a thud and slowly made his way to his feet. Looking around he sighed and lowered his head."Greaaaaaat. Where in the nine hells am I? Doesn't look like anywhere on Faerun. Damn mage casting his own dimension door on me as I used mine. Well at least I'm dressed warm." Seraph began to check to see if he had all his possessions. He had his swords, he had his bag of holding. Most of everything was in it save for his fishing line and knife that wasn't too important. He made sure his rations were there which they were. His coin pouch was half empty which he wasn't sure was a good thing or a bad thing." Hmmm best to get out of this cold." Seraph started to venture inside the cave unsure of what he would find. He pulled his lantern from his bag and lit it. And with his other hand drew one of his swords. "Something tells me this is going to be interesting."

A few feet in, a massive brown ball loomed on the floor, quaking slightly. it was roughly twice Seraph's size, and he would probably hear very loud reverberations pulsing from it. Beyond it lay a mountain of very shiny things, gold, silver, and various gems.

Seraph just froze and thought to himself. I swear that better not be a dragon. I hate dragons. Well let's see if I wake it up I'll most likely have to try and kill it. If I walk out I have to brave the snow. Man, either way I'm fucked. But, I hate the cold. Seraph concentrated for a moment and imbues the sword he was holding in a horribly acidic aura, just in case. Then he decided to try something. He was going to try to speak to it's mind. Hopefully it was intelligent enough to respond and not attack him. "Uhm, hello?"

The reverberations ceased for a moment, and then a single one transformed into a roar.

"Who dares awake me?"

"I am but a humble traveler. I was brought here by accident and mean no harm. I shall leave if you wish." Seraph slowly started to back up towards the the cave entrance but his kept a tight grip on his sword in case he needed to defend himself. He wasn't taking any chances. He'd rather deal with the snow then fight what ever this thing was.

"LEAVE NOW."

The ball rustled around, and then opened up, showing a faceless mouth full of teeth which was half the ball's size to Seraph. Seraph would clearly be able to see feathers and blood decorating the interior. He was dealing with a worm.

Seraphs only thought after seeing that was simply. Fuck me sideways a god damn worm. He turned around made his way out of the cave blowing out the lantern and putting it back in his bag. "God damn it I hate the snow. Well no, I like snow, just not the cold that comes with it." Seraph started looking around for any alternative ways either over, through or down off this frozen rock. "Why do I feel like I'm being punished for something I did?"

As Seraph walked out into the open, a massive ship with wings careened its way into the mountain near where he stood.

"Damn! Must have miscalculated. DIDJA HEAR THAT BOYS!? TURN AROUND, AN' QUICK!"

The voice originated from a scruffy-looking man on the cockpit of the ship. he held a massive hooked sword in his hand, and it was with this that he regarded Seraph.

"Must've been fate. You! Climb aboard, boy! And make haste!"

He wore a massive grin, and it became clear that his other hand was holding a massive tankard of alcohol.

Seraph wasn't going to argue with the guy who was trying to rescue him. He jumped up and latched onto the side of the ship and pulled himself over." Hey thanks pal, I owe you. Names Seraph. And you are?"

"Shay McClaren, and you're aboard the Avarice, home of the Seven Sins!"

He grinned as the ship started to turn around.

"Don't talk so fast, mate. You need to pass a test first..."

Seraph sighed and lowered his head. he then looked at Shay with a readiness in his eyes. " Alright, what do I have to do? And if I don't pass can I ask for asylum and parlay at least to the bottom of this mountain?"

"The fuck is Parlay!? If you don't pass, you die." He grinned as a figure strode up to them, taking off his robe.

"You will fight me."

He stood about seven feet tall, made entirely of ice, and the air around him froze in droplets of condensation.

"You may strike first if you wish."

"Fair enough. I can deal with that." Seraph drew his other sword and imbued it with an acidic aura. He didn't even move his eyes flashed and a wall of telekinetic energy with enough force to smash through concrete exploded from his body. Then in a sneak attack he took a flying leap spinning through the air with both swords coming down for a slash angled down and to the left.

Jack Frost stood, looking at the man, as the telekinesis hit him. His arms extended, shooting through the hull of the ship and bracing him. Ice crystals fell off of his body, but he held steady, more starting to coagulate and replace the old ones. The pure cold around his body would likely make the swords brittle, freezing even the metal unless it were a very dense alloy and probably shattering them against his body, along with more ice shards.

Infact the material of his sword was made from mythril which is a magically imbued metal, which meant it was immune to anything that standard metals would be weak against. If he didn't move and was hit the acid would start to break down the molecular bonds of the ice he was covered in, and if he is just ice he'd be terribly injured.
